Our forever-changing lives force us to do different things. We are constantly pressured to get something done in our personal and professional lives. So, when is it that we begin to be just ourselves? Well, there is yet to be a defined timeline for this.
Most of the time, the things that happen
to us in life shape us. We consist not only of flesh and blood but also of
emotions, experiences, and memories. Moreover, as social creatures, each of us
functions in a behaviourally unique manner. Our authentic self, in many cases, is covered up with conditioned,
fear-based thinking that we have placed upon ourselves. And letting go of that
pretentiousness is difficult.
When we get
tired of trying to be someone we're not, we begin just to be who we are. We
don't get the sense of calmness that makes us who we are in one day. We may
have gone through a lot of pain and anger and come to terms with things. It
takes valor to get back and try again when we encounter unpleasant experiences.
As we
evolve, our perceptiveness grows. People are either drawn to us or repelled by
the energy we carry around daily. This energy field is built over time by who
we strive to be. Being happy in the moment is only possible in the absence of
pretense.
Following our
intuition also helps us be ourselves because it allows us to align with our true nature. Of course, it does not
mean we will never encounter roadblocks again, but when we align with our souls,
we will always be guided in the best direction possible.
When we let
go of old ways of thinking, pursue our bliss, and do what we love, happiness
and peace begin to align with us, and our true magnificence begins to emerge. Though it is challenging to let go of old thought patterns, it is still an achievable voyage.
